Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead complex contract management for aerospace projects. You will partner with legal, finance, procurement, and engineering to streamline workflows, manage risk, and execute agreements across the lifecycle.

You will draft and negotiate diverse agreements, ensure regulatory compliance, and support audits while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver on multi-year programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience in aerospace/defense/government contracting environment.
• Presently hold or capable of obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance (Secret, Top Secret Preferred).
• Experience with Federal and International regulations and DoD/Federal prime contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, Contracts leaders and other functions on bid and proposal preparation, contract negotiation and administration for products and services.
• Perform contract management throughout the lifecycle, including proposal review, negotiations, modifications, and program support.
• Draft, evaluate, negotiate various agreements (NDAs, S/PAs, Subcontracts, License, Master Agreements).
• Ensure terms comply with regulations and company policies.
• Monitor long-term contract performance and summarize obligations for stakeholders.
• Coordinate flow-downs of terms with program management, engineering, finance, and QA.
• Liaise with DCMA and audit agencies; may lead audits.
• Maintain contract files, amendments, and data in business systems.
• Review uploaded contract data for accuracy; prepare reports and lead status reviews.
• Other duties as assigned
