Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our remote-first finance team. You will prepare journal entries, run month-end close processes, and ensure GAAP compliance while leveraging automation and AI tools to streamline reporting.

With a bachelor’s in accounting or finance and 3–4 years of experience (CPA preferred), you will analyze financial statements, perform reconciliations, and support audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably mix of public/private.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with complex accounting areas and automation/AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and improve month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support audits.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI tools to streamline close and reporting.
