Job summary

Virta Health is a remote-first company focused on reversing metabolic disease through technology and virtual care. We are seeking an accounting professional to join our finance team and improve the month-end close process.

You will prepare journal entries, analyze GL accounts, and support audits while leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools. A CPA is preferred and Excel expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3-4 years of experience preferably with a public accounting/private accounting mix.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations or investments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations
• Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate the month-end close process.
• Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit
• Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented
• Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned
• Assist accounting leadership as needed
