The role requires a CPA or progression toward certification, a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and 3–4 years of mixed public/private accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience, preferably with a public/private mix.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations or investments.
• Experience leveraging automation/AI tools to improve accounting processes, reporting, reconciliations, or close efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations.
• Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work and accelerate close.
• Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit.
• Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure fluctuations are documented.
• Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for finance areas.
• Assist accounting leadership as needed.
