Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our remote-first team. You will own journal entries and reconciliations, strengthen month-end close processes, and ensure GAAP compliance while identifying automation opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.

You will collaborate with finance leadership on audits, analyze fluctuations in financial statements, and produce operational reporting to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations.

• Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• 4
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate the month-end close process.

• Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit
• 6
• Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented

• Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned

• Assist accounting leadership as needed
