Job summary

Virta Health, a remote-first company with offices in Denver and San Francisco, seeks a results-driven accounting professional to support the month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and advance the use of automation and AI tools to streamline processes. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with audits and reporting, reporting to Accounting leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 3–4 years of experience, and preferably a CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred.
• Experience with GAAP, financial statement analysis, and reconciliations.
• Experience leveraging automation or AI tools to streamline close processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance in all activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate, accelerate, and improve close processes.
• Respond to information requests and assist with audits.
• Analyze statements and GL accounts for variances and documentation.
• Prepare operational and ad hoc reports as needed.
• Support accounting leadership as needed.
