Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3-4 years of experience preferably with public/private mix.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations or investments.
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements/reports.
• Comfort with ambiguity and lack of defined processes.
• Public company exposure preferred.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Comfort working in a fully remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations.
• Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work and accelerate the close.
• Respond to information requests and assist with audits and reviews.
• Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure fluctuations align with expectations.
• Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for analysis.
• Identify financial risks and implement controls.
• Help identify, monitor and document internal control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Assist accounting leadership as needed.
