Job summary

The Standard is seeking an experienced account manager for our Employee Benefits Sales and Service office in the Hartford, CT area. You will serve as the primary contact for key policyholders and producers, building strong relationships through regular on-site visits, negotiation, and proactive communication.

Collaborating with sales and underwriting, you will craft renewal strategies, negotiate rates, and drive opportunities to boost profitability and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years of group insurance account management experience.
• Life and Disability license required.
• Ability to travel within territory for client meetings when requested.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage primary relationships with key policyholders and producers through on-site visits and proactive communication.
• Coordinate renewal strategy, negotiate rates, and present changes to improve profitability and retention.
• Collaborate with sales and underwriting to promote coverages and manage large accounts (500+ lives).
• Lead enrollment processes and facilitate renewal meetings with clients and brokers.
