Job summary

The Standard is seeking an experienced account manager to serve as the primary liaison for key policyholders and producers in the Hartford area. You’ll conduct on-site visits, analyze renewal data, negotiate rates, and coordinate with sales and underwriting to improve profitability and retention.

You will manage renewals for large accounts, promote plan enhancements, and oversee enrollment and proposal activities, contributing to business growth and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 5+ years of group insurance account management.
• Life and Disability insurance license for all states in territory.
• Willingness to travel within territory for client and broker meetings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for key policyholders and producers.
• Build and maintain on-site relationships through regular visits and proactive communication.
• Analyze claims experience and renewal data to craft renewal strategies.
• Negotiate rates and contract provisions with regional or national accounts.
• Lead enrollment, proposals and presentation of renewal actions.
