This role focuses on generating new business through a consultative sales approach with utility and public sector clients to drive revenue and margins. You will work closely with operations to translate customer needs into feasible, installable solutions, and you will present professional proposals while traveling up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 7+ years of experience selling large solutions in the public sector or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business at trade shows, via publications, and cold calls.
• Develop knowledge of renewable energy industry, structure, opportunities, trends, and issues.
• Build relationships to meet sales goals, margins, and market share.
• Communicate solutions to customers' leadership and engineers.
• Prepare professional proposals including financial aspects.
• Maintain contact during installation and address customer needs.
• Monitor account plans and competitive activity.
