Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a finance-driven, business-savvy professional to manage major customer relationships and provide financial analysis of diverse proposals. The role covers pricing strategy, BID/RFP activity, and long-range planning across the LTL segment.

You will collaborate with operations and sales teams, develop dynamic pricing, forecast performance, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance and alignment with corporate objectives. Travel to FedEx Freight locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, sales or business plus seven years’ experience in financial analysis or related fields.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all management levels and customers.
• Extensive pricing experience and related analytic skills preferred.
• Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial support systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen customer relationships with proactive communication.
• Negotiate pricing programs and upsell value-added services within the LTL space.
• Manage BID/RFP activity and benchmark against General Program.
• Develop and execute dynamic pricing with guidance and oversight.
• Provide forecasts, annual business plans and long-range plans aligned with financial objectives.
• Coordinate with operations and internal partners to deliver premier customer experiences.
• Collaborate with Sales on opportunities and provide LTL subject matter expertise.
• Perform market research to develop growth and profitability strategies.
• Monitor network capacity and implement pricing strategies for network balance.
• Lead or participate in special projects and mentor lower level professionals.
