Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks a strategic finance professional to strengthen customer relationships and analyze diverse proposals. You will develop business plans, advise leadership, and help steer pricing decisions for LTL services, ensuring profitability and growth.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, market research, and leading or mentoring others as needed. Travel to FedEx Freight locations is required several times per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, sales or business with 7+ years of related experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all management levels and customers.
• Pricing experience and related analytic skills preferred.
• Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint or financial systems.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or on a team; leadership when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen customer relationships with proactive communication.
• Negotiate pricing programs and upsell value-added services in LTL space.
• Manage BID/RFP activity and benchmark against programs.
• Develop and execute dynamic pricing guidance and oversight.
• Provide forecasts and long-range plans aligned with financial objectives.
• Coordinate with operations and other internal teams to ensure premier customer experience.
• Collaborate with Sales on opportunities, providing LTL subject matter expertise.
• Conduct market research to support growth and profitability.
• Monitor network capacity and develop pricing strategies to balance network.
