Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers who excel at business development and technical review. You will manage client relationships, price and write proposals, and seal geotechnical letters on projects you win.

The role blends sales with engineering and requires regular coordination with the Sugar Land laboratory and field staff. You will be accountable for revenue from clients you develop, with base salary in the $115,000–$150,000 range plus a revenue share.

Qualifications

• PE license in civil/geotechnical/structural (or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days)
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection
• Track record of bringing in work or credible plan to do so

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities into signed work
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review data, seal reports/letters, and coordinate with lab testing schedules
