Job summary

Construction Materials Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to lead client relationships and deliver technical services in materials testing, geotechnical, and special inspection. You balance business development with engineering work and sealing reports.

You will develop proposals, price work, and negotiate contracts, acting as engineer of record while coordinating with field staff and Sugar Land laboratory. Travel to client sites in your market is required.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in civil/geotechnical/structural or comity within 90 days
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan to do so

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work
• Serve as engineer of record: review field/lab data, seal reports/letters, and coordinate with the lab on testing schedules
• Direct technicians/inspectors on projects and represent the company at owner meetings and industry events
