Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers who blend business development with hands-on engineering. You will cultivate a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services, scope and price proposals, and seal reports for projects you win.

You will travel to client offices and jobsites, review field and lab data, and coordinate with a staffed laboratory in Sugar Land and certified field staff.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in Civil/Geotechnical/Structural or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection.
• Track record of bringing in work or credible market plan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record by reviewing data, sealing reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on projects; coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
