Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers who are comfortable selling a testing program and also performing engineering tasks, from reviewing data to sealing geotechnical letters.

You will manage client relationships, scope and price proposals, and coordinate with field staff and the Sugar Land lab behind the scenes. Expect travel to client offices and projects; revenue share aligns with your book of business.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the state of posting or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection.
• Proven track record of bringing in work or a credible plan to do so in this market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients—general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms—for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects you win: review data, resolve failing tests, and seal reports/letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
