Job summary

Construction Materials Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers who blend business development with engineering rigor. You will cultivate a book of clients for materials testing, geotechnical services, and special inspection while reviewing data, sealing reports, and delivering high-quality letters for projects you win.

You will price and propose programs, negotiate terms, and lead field technicians and laboratories to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in civil/geotechnical/structural.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering.
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible market plan.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating and declining bad contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book for materials testing, special inspection and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities to signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects and seal reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings and industry events.
