Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers who blend business development with technical leadership. You will manage a client book, scope and price proposals, and seal reports as engineer of record.

The role combines sales with engineering review, directing technicians and coordinating with Sugar Land laboratory to deliver quality testing and geotechnical services. You will travel to client offices and jobsites as required, building relationships while ensuring

Qualifications

Active PE license (civil, geotechnical, or structural) in the posting state, or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection, including client-facing responsibility.
A record of bringing in work, or a clear, credible plan for how you would in this market; comfortable pricing and negotiating.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record on the projects you win: review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters.
Direct technicians and inspectors on your projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
