Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or via comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan for developing work in this market.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and declining unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record: review data, seal reports and letters, and resolve issues.
• Direct technicians and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules; represent the company at meetings and industry events.
