Job summary

Prime Storage Group is seeking an Assistant Manager for a self-storage facility. You will rent units, upsell merchandise, and handle daily customer interactions while maintaining the property and ensuring service excellence.

The role requires 1–2 years of customer-facing experience, strong communication, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to travel to multiple locations. Competitive pay, benefits, 401(k), and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant, customer-facing work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be technically savvy and able to learn new applications and POS systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook.
• Must be physically able to perform maintenance duties daily (walking the property, cleaning, light repairs).
• Must lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Availability for travel and to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Rent self-storage units and related products.
• Convert inquiries into rentals via phone or walk-ins.
• Maintain accounts receivable and post payments.
• Deliver daily deposits accurately and on time.
• Upsell moving supplies and assist in unit sizing.
• Greet customers promptly and professionally.
• Understand and promote property features and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the facility.
• Inspect the property and perform lock checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
