Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician in North Charleston, SC to install, program, start-up, certify and train on assigned projects, including smaller ones, while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn technical skills related to fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter who works well with direct supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Provide customer training and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Interpret manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams; operate and start up systems.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve issues and ensure schedule.
