Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Project Technician to install, program, startup, certify, and train customers on assigned projects, including smaller or less complex installations.

You will join a dynamic team that values growth and contractor-first culture, with opportunities for development as Convergint expands. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally are required.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused service mindset and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to learn technical skills related to fire alarm systems and electronic security.
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Able to travel locally to jobsites; occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, startup, test, and service security, fire life safety, and building automation systems.
• Provide customer training and ensure high satisfaction; refer complex issues to senior staff.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams; use test instruments.
• Coordinate with Project/Operations Managers to support multiple projects.
• Assist with documentation, start-up, and warranty work as needed.
