Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify, and train on assigned projects, including smaller systems. You will join a team focused on world-class service and growth within a positive culture.

You should be ready to travel locally, learn fire alarm and electronic security systems, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter and capable of working with direct supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems and equipment with guidance; customer training included.
• Maximizes customer satisfaction and refers more complex issues to higher level colleagues.
• Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Operates and commissions systems, analyzes performance, and identifies malfunctions.
• Collaborates with Project/Operations Manager to coordinate projects and suggest improvements.
• Performs other duties as requested.
