Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup/check-out, certify, and train customers on assigned projects of varying complexity. You will collaborate with a dynamic team, grow with the company, and contribute to delivering world-class service.

The role emphasizes customer focus, strong technical skills in fire alarm and electronic security, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics while traveling locally to job sites.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years relevant.
• Preferred Experience: Relevant field service and certifications (e.g., Product-specific, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis).

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services various systems including security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals to determine installation procedures and repairs equipment.
• Operates systems to demonstrate, commission new systems, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions.
• Mentors less experienced staff and supports project coordination with Managers.
