Job summary

ADT is seeking a Residential Service Technician to troubleshoot, configure, reconstruct and program existing security and site automation solutions. You will locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment and wiring, read blueprints, and ensure systems operate correctly in customers' homes and businesses.

The role requires two years of installation/repair experience, excellent communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to read plans.

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Read blueprints, building and electrical plans in order to complete equipment repairs.
• Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
