Job summary

ADT is seeking a Residential Service Technician to troubleshoot, configure, reconstruct and program security and site automation solutions for homes and small businesses. You will service fire and CO detection, networked video, access control, read blueprints and electrical plans, and coordinate inspections with authorities while delivering excellent customer service.

Valid driver's license and a high school diploma required; minimum 2 years' install/repair experience with ADT or similar

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read building electrical and sprinkler plans as required for clearing equipment trouble.

Responsibilities

• Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
• Read blueprints, building and electrical plans in order to complete equipment repairs.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
