Job summary

Convergint is hiring a Service Specialist to service and support existing customers, respond to service calls, and manage small projects. The role emphasizes front-line customer service, hands-on troubleshooting, and collaboration with a diverse team.

The position requires 3–5 years in servicing and programming access control systems, with strong knowledge of security technologies. Local travel may be needed, and a valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 3-5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems.
• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of fire alarm/electronic security systems recommended.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts; install projects as necessary.
• Complete accurate service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Work with other specialists on servicing existing customers and small projects.
