Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Security Service Technician to service and support customers, respond to calls, and manage small projects. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, safe operation, and teamwork within a growing security solutions firm.

You will perform preventative maintenance, install and wire security systems, and collaborate with specialists to expand expertise. A valid driver's license and local travel are required, with opportunities for career growth within Convergint's culture.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems.
• Experience with fire alarm or electronic security systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency/after-hours service calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems for routine problems.
• Install projects as necessary and document service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Provide system integrations, upgrades, audits, and/or database management as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety policies; communicate with team members to improve operations.
