Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to join our team in Knoxville, TN. You will be part of a dynamic group focused on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely service calls to protect lives and assets.

The role emphasizes customer-focused solutions, adherence to safety policies, and collaboration with specialists on installations and system checks. A background in building automation or electronic security is preferred.

Qualifications

• Develop exceptional customer focus under pressure.
• Technical skills related to building automation, fire alarm, and electronic security.
• Ability to develop basic programming skills.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand/power tools.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and some non-routine service calls, scheduled maintenance, emergencies and after-hours requests.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and update systems.
• Install projects as necessary and ensure proper documentation.
• Use troubleshooting skills to isolate issues in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Provide accurate service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Assist with custom systems integrations and system upgrades as needed.
• Coordinate with team members to improve operations at the Tech Center.
• Perform preventative maintenance on installed systems.
