Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Security Service Technician to service and support existing customers, respond to service calls, and assist with small projects. The role emphasizes a customer-first mindset, technical proficiency in security systems, and strong problem-solving abilities.

You will work as part of a team, travel locally to job sites, diagnose and repair field equipment, install projects as needed, and document service reports to ensure accurate invoicing and cost tracking while upholding

Qualifications

• Experience with fire alarm or electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and problem-solving ability.
• Self-starter with ability to work under supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
• 3-5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours service calls; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems.
• Install projects as necessary and perform preventative maintenance for installed systems.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint in a timely manner to support invoicing and cost tracking.
• May provide custom systems integrations, upgrades, audits, and database management as needed.
