Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to service and support existing customers, respond to service calls, and handle small projects. The role emphasizes customer-focused service, problem-solving, and system maintenance across security platforms.

You will work with access control systems, CCTV, and networked security equipment, with opportunities to grow as Convergint grows. Travel to local jobsites may be required; a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience required.
• Must have exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical and/or experience related to fire alarm systems and/or electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work under supervision as needed.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; some overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls, routine and some non-routine tasks on a timely basis.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and replace defective parts or systems.
• Install projects as necessary and perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Provide system integrations, upgrades, audits, and database management as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members to improve operations.
