Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to service and support customers, respond to service calls, and contribute to small projects. The role emphasizes a strong customer focus, technical security expertise, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

The position entails on-site field work, hands-on troubleshooting, and coordination with other specialists to ensure high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills related to fire alarm systems and/or electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude including hand/power tools.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis; minimal overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and non-routine customer service calls and maintenance; diagnose, repair, and install as needed.
• Provide technical assistance and support for installed Security systems and small projects.
• Prepare accurate service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Maintain safety policies and regulatory compliance for field work.
