Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Service Technician to service and support existing customers, respond to service calls, perform maintenance, and complete projects. The role emphasizes a strong customer focus, safety, and teamwork within a growing culture.

You will diagnose and repair security and fire alarm systems, install projects as needed, and maintain detailed service reports. Travel to local sites is required and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and able to handle pressure.
• Solid technical skills related to fire alarm or electronic security systems.
• Strong programming and troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under supervision when needed.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and non-routine service calls, scheduled maintenance, and after-hours calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts; install projects as needed.
• Prepare accurate service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Provide system integrations, upgrades, audits, and database management as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulations while servicing systems.
