Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify and train on assigned projects of varying complexity. You’ll join a dynamic team that values growth, teamwork and exceptional service.

As part of the role, read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer-focused support while traveling to local job sites as needed. Convergint offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills with fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Strong programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude; reads blueprints/drawings.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Organizational skills; manages multiple projects.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office.
• A valid driver’s license with clean record; travel to local job sites.
• Prior field service or installation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs and services security, fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Starts up systems, certifies performance and trains customers.
• Interprets manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams for installation.
• Demonstrates equipment, analyzes performance and documents results.
• Coordinates with Project/Operations managers and mentors staff as needed.
• Identifies risks and helps minimize costs and deadlines.
• Provides technical support to customers and adheres to quality standards.
• Participates in ongoing customer satisfaction initiatives.
