Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on assigned projects, including small or less complex ones. You will be part of a dynamic team that supports growth and service excellence.

You’ll need a valid driver’s license, a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a passion for world-class service. Local travel to sites is expected as projects vary.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience required.
• Willing to learn technical skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Must be able to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, and life-safety systems as assigned.
• Provide customer training and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Interprets diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams to install or repair equipment.
• Operate and demonstrate systems, commission new installations, and perform start-up activities.
