Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train on assigned projects of varying complexity. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and collaboration within a growing culture.

Ideal candidates will have strong technical skills in security systems, life safety, and building automation, plus the ability to read blueprints and travel to local job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and growth mindset.
• Solid knowledge of security systems and life-safety concepts.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, tests, and services security and life-safety systems per project scope.
• Trains customers and documents start-up, commissioning and close-out tasks.
• Interprets manuals and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot equipment.
• Coordinates with project managers and engineering for issues and scope changes.
• Mentors less experienced staff and supports field technicians.
• Maintains customer satisfaction and professional communication on site.
