Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, start up, certify, and train customers on varied security projects. You will be part of a dynamic team with opportunities to grow as Convergint grows.

Responsibilities include systems installation, testing, and service, reading blueprints, and providing excellent customer support. Expect local travel and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills in fire alarm or electronic security systems.
• Strong programming skills and problem-solving ability.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Able to read blueprints and drawings and use common test tools.
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair and service security, fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals for installation.
• Operate and commission systems; provide customer training and support.
• Coordinate with project management to meet timelines and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in quality improvements.
• Travel to local job sites as needed; perform other duties as required.
