Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Project Technician to install, program, start-up, certify, and train customers on security projects of varying complexity. You will be part of a dynamic team and support growth as Convergint grows.

You will read blueprints, interpret diagrams, and utilize test instruments to ensure successful system operation. Travel to local sites is required, and strong customer service is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant field service experience preferred.
• Certifications in security systems or access control are a plus.
• 3–5 years relevant experience in security electronics or related field.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and certify security systems on varied projects.
• Train customers on system operations and maintenance.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers on site.
• Travel to local jobsites as needed.
