Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Technician to install, program, startup, certify, and train customers on security, fire, and life-safety systems on a range of projects. You will work with a dynamic team, following Convergint’s culture and values, and contribute to customer satisfaction.

You will read blueprints, interpret wiring diagrams, and perform commissioning and testing, with opportunities to grow within the company as Convergint expands its service footprint.

Qualifications

• Must have customer-focused approach and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams; basic electronics understanding.
• Proficient in MS Office; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, and related systems on varied projects.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine installation procedures.
• Operate and commission new systems and provide customer training.
• Mentor less experienced staff and support project teams.
• Ensure quality work and timely project completion.
