Job summary

Convergint Technologies LLC in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Security Project Specialist 2 to install, program, test, certify, and train on security projects of varying complexity. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver reliable system deployments and training for customers.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid technical skills in fire alarm and/or electronic security systems.
• Solid programming skills and ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service non-routine systems and equipment including security, fire alarm, life safety, and building automation.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, and identify malfunctions.
• Provide customer training and support and assist in project coordination.
• Mentor less experienced staff and supervise testing and tuning as needed.
• Identify project risks and help manage costs and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Operations Manager to improve customer satisfaction.
