Job summary

Convergint Technologies, LLC is seeking a full-time Security Project Specialist to install, program, and certify security and life-safety systems on diverse projects. You will lead customer training and help ensure successful startup and checkout, while collaborating with a dynamic project team.

This role emphasizes hands-on technical work, blueprint reading, and delivering world-class service. You will travel to local sites and contribute to on-time project execution, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications: product/industry certifications preferred.
• Experience with fire alarm or electronic security systems preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, life-safety, and building automation systems.
• Train customers on system operation and features.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine installation procedures.
• Demonstrate, startup, certify, and hand over systems to customers.
• Collaborate with Project Manager/Operations Manager on timelines and budget considerations.
• Mentor less experienced staff and support project teams.
