Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Security Project Specialist 1 in Fort Myers, FL to install, program, start up, certify and train customers on assigned projects. The role covers small to less complex projects and requires collaboration with project management to ensure successful completion.

You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, use testing tools, and travel to sites as needed while upholding Convergint’s values and commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to learn technical skills related to fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Self-starter who works well with direct supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand/power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, repairs, and service security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation systems.
• Provide customer training and maximize satisfaction; refer complex issues to higher level colleagues.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams; utilize test instruments and hand tools.
• Operate systems to commission new installations, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Operations Manager to ensure quality, scope and on-time delivery.
