Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants subjected to background check as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

You will interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors while helping to identify and report concerns. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with established procedures and applicable campus guidelines.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or prohibited items to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and surrounding perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
