Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Screening Support Security Officer in Lexington, KY. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, and assist in maintaining a safe, welcoming campus environment for students, staff, and guests.

The role emphasizes customer service and adherence to site procedures. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for additional shifts through our Claim a Shift platform, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Screen individuals, personal belongings, and/or authorized items entering designated campus locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around campus perimeters and locations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, personal belongings, and/or authorized items entering designated campus locations in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned campus areas and perimeters; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
