Allied Universal in Lexington, KY is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Screening Equipment Operator to safeguard clients across Educational settings and other facilities. You will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while supporting students, staff, and visitors.

This role requires at least 1 year of security experience, ability to lift 20 pounds, and a background check; training and benefits accompany a full-time schedule.

Formación

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, bags, and permitted items entering assigned campus locations in accordance with established procedures and applicable policies.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, prohibited items, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and surrounding perimeters, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
