Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and deliveries, verifying badges, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $17.63 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access-screening protocols.
• Screen individuals and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating exceptions or prohibited-item concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate screening-related logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, screening areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
