Job summary

Live! Casino Virginia in Petersburg, VA seeks a Security Ambassador to ensure guest safety and security while delivering outstanding service. You will greet guests, verify IDs, explain rules, and respond to incidents in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in security, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work Swing Shift 3:30 PM–12:00 AM. You will operate the security desk, monitor entrances, assist in emergencies, and uphold Live!’s

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of security experience with guest service focus preferred.
• Must be able to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
• Must secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or Live’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and a warm welcome.
• Check IDs and refuse entry to under 21 or unsafe individuals.
• Explain casino rules and code of conduct.
• Interact professionally with guests and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with disputes, intoxicated subjects, and incidents.
• Resolve complaints within authority or escalate to management.
• Notify supervisors of unusual events or crimes.
• Respond to medical or fire emergencies.
• Operate the Security Dispatch Office and communicate via radio/phone.
• Monitor entrances, logs, and access control.
• Manage traffic in valet/parking areas.
• Investigate and write first reports of injury.
• Assist in transporting money, chips, and markers.
• Identify and report safety hazards; ensure guest and team safety.
