Job summary

CGS Federal in Los Angeles, CA, with options for San Francisco, remote or hybrid, is seeking a Business Analyst to partner with a large federal agency. You will gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements and translate them into process maps, functional specs, and training materials for diverse stakeholders.

The role emphasizes collaboration with government teams, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and/or design of information systems programs and related business processes.
Experience with phase-based and Agile delivery methods.
Experience with Jira or other Agile tools.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

Support development of briefings, agendas, and documentation for stakeholders.
Document and analyze business requirements for process maps and technical specs.
Develop comprehensive documentation including system diagrams and operation concepts.
Create briefs and communications materials for customers and executives.
Identify and implement opportunities for service delivery improvement and new technology implementation.
Gather information from subject matter experts to develop manuals and procedures.
Develop understanding of Microsoft and Atlassian products to translate product information into content.
