Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Information Technology department. The role partners with internal business owners and external partners to define functional requirements and opportunities for government projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in business or systems analysis, experience with Agile delivery and Jira, and excellent written and oral communication. A background investigation and security clearance are required, with a focus on delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field.
• Ability to pass a stringent Background Investigation and obtain Government Security clearance.
• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and/or design of information systems programs.
• Experience with phase-based and Agile delivery methods.
• Experience with Jira or other Agile tools.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
• Team oriented, able to work independently, and detail oriented.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable with Senior Leadership and Government Executives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in documenting and analyzing business and functional requirements for translation into process maps and system specs.
• Develop readable documentation, system diagrams, concepts of operations, and status reports.
• Create briefings and communications for customers, management, and executives.
• Identify opportunities for service delivery improvement and new technology implementation.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and manage client expectations.
• Support continuous improvement through recommendations on product and process enhancements.
• Engage with stakeholders to develop and write procedures, manuals, and technical specifications.
