RTX in Tucson is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design/Test Solutions engineer to design, prototype, and deliver high‑reliability test fixtures and environmental stations for complex weapon systems. You’ll work from development through sustainment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires a STEM degree and experience with parametric CAD (SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor/CATIA/NX). Occasional CONUS travel is possible; relocation eligibility is offered.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM; degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience utilizing parametric 3D CAD software to create 3D models and drawings.
• Mechanical design experience through coursework, clubs, or projects.
• Experience may be gained via on‑the‑job experience, research, or coursework.

Responsabilidades

• Research, plan, and design custom mechanical test solutions for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optical environments.
• Conceptualize and implement mechanical systems integrated with state‑of‑the‑art test technologies.
• Create 3D assemblies and 2D drawings using CAD tools; ensure documentation meets standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to diagnose issues and implement design improvements.
